Starting A Child Care Business

Caring for children with special needs can be one of the most rewarding and most challenging experiences in your life. You make take special trainings to help you prepare, but many of the skills you already use to provide quality care are the same you will need to include children with special needs or disabilities.

The Missouri Child Care Resource and Referral Network has resources available to help you with information about a wide variety of topics including inclusive child care. Every Missouri child care resource and referral agency (CCR&R) has staff who help families and providers create inclusive child care programs to meet the needs of children and families.

If you want onsite technical assistance (Missouri Providers only) or more information, call The Family ConservancySM at 913-573-CARE and ask to speak to the inclusion specialist or email ppaden@thefamilyconservancy.org. There is a resource library available to all providers and staff to help all providers create inclusive programs to meet the needs of children and families.
